LEWELL ROSENTHAL

Lewell Rosenthal was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1910. He was the beloved husband of Lila Basch, cherished father of Linda and Patricia and adored father-in-law of Nikos Voyajopoulos. He was the respected grandfather of John, Jennifer, Jessica Kane and Alexandra Voyajopoulos. He was loved and admired by his nephew, Michael Channick.

Mr. Rosenthal attended Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve Law School. He served in the United States Army Air Force from 1941-1945 as a celestial navigation instructor. He married in 1946 and opened Lewell Jewelry Company in Painesville, Ohio, relocating to Larchmont, New York in 1959. He was an active member of the Larchmont Rotary and served as President in 1975-1976. He was Chairman of the Village of Larchmont Traffic Commission. He was honored and loved by all who knew him.

Mr. Rosenthal died at home on February 15, 2006. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Larchmont Yacht Club at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Larchmont Manor Park Society or the Salesian Mission of New Rochelle.
