Property Tax Calculator: Town of Mamaroneck Unincorporated Area Property with the Enhanced STAR Deducation

The table that appears below provides an approximate summary of what your property tax dollars are spent for, at each level of government receiving and spending the funds.

Your tax payment to each level of government is distributed across the services provided based on each government's budget. Note that debt service and park/recreation expenditures seem low for the Town of Mamaroneck, but that is partially due the the Town's accounting procedure which accounts for debt service in the cost areas involved, and which accounts for certain recreation and park expenses and revenues as Townwide programs.

At the bottom of the table, your household share of government debt is presented. This table is developed by multiplying the debt per-capita by the number of persons you reported as residing in your household.

State and federal debt is included to provide perspective. Debt issued by our county, school and local governments represents about 11% of overall government debt, and village/town debt represents about 2% of overall debt.

Note: If the numbers don't appear in the table below, it means that you may have included a comma when you entered your tax. Start again and just enter the number - like 10000 not 10,000.
