Cub Scouts Hit the Beachby John Stackpole, Cubmaster of Pack 33 (May 13, 2005) Despite some rain on Saturday April 23, 2005, cub scouts from Larchmont Pack 33 and their parents spent time cleaning up Dog Beach, a small sandy area adjacent to Manor Beach. The boys gathered non-biodegradable debris that had washed up over the winter, learning as they went about the importance of proper disposal of household recyclables.
Beach cleaning and a "Scouting for Food" drive in the fall are just two ways the cub scouts help their community throughout the year. Pack 33 currently has 55 members, but more are welcome. For information, visit the pack's website at http://www.cubpack33.com.
