featured on Channel 29, the cable food network, on a segment of “Roker on the Road” with foodie (and Channel 4 weatherman) Al Roker . Mr. Roker will be interviewing Cocoa’s owner, Angela Ingrao, and discussing her passion for chocolate.

How did Al Roker learn of Cocoa’s? Two frequent customers, both chocolate lovers, have contacts in the television business and got the ball rolling. Larchmonters Debbie Quintana and Jane Nishimura were having dinner with the director of the Roker show. “It was a natural to mention Cocoa’s,” said Ms. Quintana.

“I really appreciate good chocolate – well-made, delicious chocolate – and it’s wonderful to see someone like Angela - a local entrepreneur - succeed. It’s in all of our interests to keep Cocoa thriving,” said Ms. Quintana.

It was only a few weeks after the dinner that the television crew arrived in Larchmont, cramming into the tiny Boston Post Road shop. The crew was there for eleven hours, and Mr. Roker for two.

So what did Al Roker do in Larchmont? “We made chocolate bark together,” said Angela Ingrao, and “I told him how I name the bark after family and friends.” Now there’s a “Roker on the Road” bark and a piña colada bark (Roker is from the Bahamas) in the glass case along with Ms. Ingrao’s own creations. “He was very fond of my s’more bark –milk chocolate, marshmallow and graham cracker,” Ms. Ingrao reported.

Cocoa is at 2107 Boston Post Road. For more information on when the show will be airing, check: Roker on the Road.
