(November 14, 2004) For the second week in a row, sophomore KJ Warren scored the winning goal in a field hockey playoff game for Mamaroneck. On Saturday evening, November 12, the team won the regional final against Ward Melville of Long Island, taking the Mamaroneck team further than they have ever gone before. Ms. Warren scored the final goal on a penalty shot late in the second half of the game. She commented, “It feels wonderful to contribute to all the success, but it’s a complete team effort.” Scoring the first goal in the 2-1 win over Ward Melville was the team’s co-captain, Jillian Cotugno.

The team will play two games this weekend in Syracuse to determine the winner of the state championship.
