New-Fangled Amusements, Old-Fashioned Attractions at Central Scare Fair

photo essay by Judy Silberstein

bumper(October 30, 2003) Central School's Annual Scare Fair provided a mix of exciting new rides, slides and entertainment along with old-fashioned, crowd-pleasing games and events on Sunday, October 26. Little kids had their own simple pleasures; older kids had their thrills; and even adults had plenty of food, music and silent auction action to keep themselves busy.

At the Silent Auction, bidders vied for items hand-made by children in their Central classes.
Fairgoers tried for prizes at games of chance and games of skill ...or bought their own treats at the country kitchen.
