Larchmont Scenes for Desktop Screens
by Ned Benton with photography from the Larchmont Gazette
(December 31, 2003) "I feel safe in saying that there is no spot along
the entire Sound, on either side, that equals the beauty of Larchmont," said
Edward F. Albee in his 1922
Dedication
Speech for
Larchmont Municipal Hall.
More than eighty years later, Larchmont's
beauty is still on display - and has been captured by many
of the photographs appearing in the Larchmont Gazette over
the past 18 months. In the spirit of Edward Albee, the Gazette is making these
photographs available to beautify an aspect of our community Albee never considered:
the thousands of computer screens on desks and laps throughout Larchmont.
The pictures below are formatted as desktop
computer-screen images. If your
computer desktop
is
looking
a
little stale lately, you can give it a New Year's renewal with a picture
of Larchmont.
To set a Larchmont photo as your desktop
screen image, select an image and click on it
to see the full-size version. Then right-click
on
the full-size image
and select "set as background"
from the drop-down menu. More detailed instructions are at
the bottom of this page.

and choose "Set as wallpaper." or "Set as Background."
- If the image seems too large or too small, right-click on your screen desktop,

makes the picture fit the size of your screen.
