Sound Shore Runners & Multi-Sport Club
Celebrates First Anniversary

Summer Schedule

by Lisa Hamm-Greenawalt of Sound Shore Runners

(June 24, 2003) The Sound Shore Runners & Multi-sport Club
turns one year old this month, as it continues to help people in lower Westchester County find fitness, friends and fun through running and cycling. In June 2002, about 10 people turned out for the inaugural run and meeting in Larchmont’s Flint Park. The roster of interested runners and cyclists has since grown to 90, including 40 who signed up at Mamaroneck's Historic Harbor Street Fair earlier this month.

JUNE 29 Tag Sale: The club hopes to put on a race for charity in the fall or spring, and a multi-family Tag Sale at the Girl Scout House on Sunday, June 29, will raise seed money for this project. The race and tag sale are part of a project being organized by cadet Girl Scouts working on their Gold Award, the highest award in scouting.
