(June
8, 2003) It didn't rain on Sunday, June 8 and the crowds
of volunteers, politicians, vendors, reenactors,
and fairgoers turned out to celebrate the Village of Mamaroneck's
newly renovated business district. "But it's not the
streets and the sidewalks we're celebrating - it's the
people," said organizers Sunny Goldberg and Carolyn
Pomeranz (in the light blue shirts flanking Mayor Phil
Trifiletti at the ribbon cutting; also Former Mayor Debby
Chapin, Acting Administrator Lenny Verrastro, Former Mayor
Joe Lanza, US Congresswoman Nita Lowey, NY State Senator
Suzi Oppenheimer, Governor Pataki's representative Cheryl Murray,
and NY Assemblyman Ron Tocci.
