Eating, Shopping, Jumping Drew Crowds to Murray

photo essay by Judy Silberstein

jump(May 10, 2003) Cotton candy, green hair and garden goods could all be had at the Murray Avenue Spring Fair on May 10. Elizabeth Dreier, who will be retiring in June, greeted attendees. The local police were on hand with information about DARE, the school-based drug-awareness program.

Spring Fair Chair Paula Summers was delighted with the turnout. "The fair was hugely successful at raising money to enhance the library. It was also great to see the support from the other elementary schools, as well as from Murray," she exclaimed. Next week the community will have another carnival opportunity at Chatsworth Avenue School on May 18.
