At the start of the week of April 7, Mamaroneck schools were closed due to a late season snowfall and daffodils were covered with inches of creamy snow.

By the weekend, schools had closed for Spring break, balmy weather had blown into town, and the new Longford's Ice Cream on Palmer Avenue had unofficially opened its doors. The official grand opening is not until May 10, but ice cream fans of all ages were not waiting.
