The Blizzard of 2003

An arctic air mass from Canada collided with a moist air mass
from the south, resulting in a record-breaking blizzard.
At Manor Park, at high tide semi-frozen sea water surged against
the rocks.
Most Larchmonters waited out the storm at home.
The Fire Department called in volunteers in case of emergencies.
Former Deputy Chief Ettore Viazzo prepared lunch for the
members, including Deputy Chief Tom Broderick and Village
Trustee - Former Chief Mike Wiener.
A few Larchmonters took the chance to test their cross-village
ski equipment.
Waves crested over Manor Beach point.
The waves filled Pirates' Cove.
