Oppenheimer Staying Out of Phase II of Tocci-Bramson Race

by Judy Silberstein

Suzi Oppenheimer( September 23, 2002) New York State Senator Suzi Oppenheimer will not be making any endorsement in the Tocci-Bramson contest. "I am not going to take a role," she said today. "I have to work really closely with whoever wins the race."

During the primary phase, when both men were vying to be the Democratic candidate, Democrat Oppenheimer supported Ron Tocci, who has held his assembly seat for the past 18 years.

Now that Noam Bramson has won the Democratic primary, Tocci is continuing the race as the candidate of the Republican, Conservative, Independence, and Working Families parties.
