No Recycling on Christmas or New Year's Day:
Maxwell Depot Open Rest of Week

by Judy Silberstein

( December 7, 2002 ) Better keep up with your recycling in the next two weeks, because there will be no collections on Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas Day) or January 1 (New Year's Day).

The Joint Garbage Disposal Commission is reminding residents: If you can't wait for the next collection on January 8, you can bring your piles of newspapers, gift wrap and Champagne bottles to the Maxwell Avenue recycling depot yourself.

The Maxwell Avenue recycling depot will be open each day from 8 am to 4 pm during the week of December 23 through 30 (except for Christmas Day). The depot will also be open from 8am to 12 noon on Saturdays, December 28 and January 4.
