Real Estate Agent Attacked During Open House

by Paula Eisenberg

(October 22, 2002) One Town of Mamaroneck resident was seriously injured and another was arrested Sunday afternoon in an incident at 3 Washington Square. According to Town of Mamaroneck police, Mary McGee, a 71-year-old resident of Vine Road, was allegedly assaulted by Eugene Levy, 66, of 816 Hickory Grove Drive. Ms. McGee, a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker McMillan Severin, was showing an apartment in the building.

After being called by the building's doorman, Town of Mamaroneck police officers found Mr. Levy in the lobby, with cut and bleeding hands. Ms. McGee was found semi-conscious in a fifth floor apartment, suffering from head trauma. She was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center by Larchmont-Mamaroneck VAC.

According to the police report, Mr Levy was arrested and charged with assault. He was arraigned before Mamaroneck Village Justice Sirlin and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
