Attention Voters! November 5 Election Fast Approaching:
Important Dates, Deadlines, and Candidates' Nights from the League of Women Voters

by Judy Silberstein

( October 10, 2002) The local, county and state Leagues of Women Voters are alerting voters to important deadlines and information on upcoming candidates' nights. A complete Voters' Guide should be appearing soon in local mailboxes, or can be viewed now on the Westchester County League's website at: http://www.watpa.org/lwv/. Included in the Guide is information on deadlines which are fast approaching for those needing to register to vote or to vote by absentee ballot - see the table below.

Also, Larchmont and Mamaroneck voters are invited to a local League sponsored candidate night on October 29. Candidates Ron Tocci and Noam Bramson, who are vying for the 91st Assembly District, will appear along with candidates for Village of Mamaroneck Trustee positions at the Village of Mamaroneck Court Room on October 29 at 7:30 p.m. Tocci and Bramson will also appear, on the same evening, at the candidate forum in New Rochelle City Hall where candidates for the 37th Senate District, will be debating their positions.

"The 91st Assembly District is a hotly contested race and wer'e hoping for a big voter turn out," said Anne Herman president of the Larchmont/Mamoroneck League. " The forum on October 29th should be very informative," she added. Also informative is the local league's website that contains explanations of the various voter processes and links to the various forms needed to register and vote absentee: at LWV Larchmont/Mamaroneck
