CHATSWORTH AVENUE SCHOOL TO CELEBRATE 100TH ANNIVERSARY

(Press Release)

(August 27, 2002) Calling all Chatsworth graduates! Who is Chatsworth's oldest living graduate? What was it like going to Chatsworth in the 1920s and 1930s? Was there a teacher or a program at Chatsworth that changed your life? The Chatsworth Centennial Committee needs your help in making the school's upcoming 100th anniversary celebration an unforgettable event.

Chatsworth School, c. 1904

The 2002-2003 school year marks the school's centennial and graduates are encouraged to participate in the many events and projects being planned. All alumni are invited to share their memories of Chatsworth by submitting a short essay about their experiences at the school. These essays will be compiled into a Chatsworth Memory Book that students can use as a resource when working on 100th anniversary projects. Chatsworth graduates can also volunteer to be interviewed by students for an oral history project.

The Centennial Committee is looking for any school or class photographs that graduates might want to share with the students and have put on display in the school. All original photos will be scanned and immediately returned to its owners. If you have any photographs you are willing to lend, are interested in writing an essay or have any questions, please contact Rachel Breinin at 834-6089 or Melina Vourlekis at 834-7865.
