Tocci Files on Multiple Lines, Bramson
Files On Democratic Line

( July 31, 2002) Assemblyman Ron Tocci and New Rochelle
Councilman Noam Bramson have filed designating petitions
to run for the 91st District State Assembly seat in
the November general elections. Tocci has filed to run
on the Democratic, Republican, Conservative, Independence,
and Working Families Party lines. His opponent in the
September Democratic primary, Bramson, has filed petitions
to run on the Democratic line.
According to the Tocci campaign, the Assemblyman received
over 1,100 signatures from registered Democrats and
1,100 signatures from registered Republicans across
the 91st Assembly District. Noam Bramson collected around
1,380. State laws require only 500 signatures.
Both campaigns were pleased with the signatures they
collected. Tocci said. “Such overwhelming numbers
confirm my belief that people, regardless of party affiliation,
know me and trust my record of service to them.”
He added, “I’m grateful to all of the many
dedicated volunteers who sacrificed their time and braved
the heat and humidity to get me on the ballot. My supporters
are very excited to return me to Albany, where I will
continue to serve in the Assembly Democratic Majority.”
“The Bramson campaign is pleased that we obtained
close to 1,400 signatures from all over the 91st Assembly
District,” reported the Campaign Manager, Alisa
Kesten . “It was particularly gratifying to see
we had almost 80 different people collecting signatures.
These included district leaders from all over the district
as well as individual supporters who are looking to
Noam to bring his ideals and energy to work for us in
Albany.”
